The Story

Imagine an evening that is getting dark, a small house in the suburbs, a wooden fence, a poor but well-kept little garden.

Imagine opening the creaky front door and catching sight of a round table in the center of a small, unadorned room with gray walls that once should have been white and a lamp with a flickering, warm light illuminating six tired but expressive faces.

Some of them scribble on a paper, some hold a steaming mug in their hands, and others rock in their rickety chairs.

There is no silence, but neither is there the chatter you would expect in front of six artists with strong personalities who through their works have profoundly changed the concept of art over the centuries.

Suddenly a man, perhaps the host, enters, articulating well a phrase of fundamental importance “you may dress in black and white, but the important thing is to think in color” Philip Ball says amid general approval.

Perhaps it may seem that we have taken a circuitous and somewhat strange way to describe this wedding, but looking back at Christie and Jack’s beautiful photographs, we imagine this.

We feel as if we are witnessing the coming together of a few artists who have each decided to donate their favorite color to create a new and special palette, precise and formal, as in a solemn study of color theory.

We imagine Edvard Munch promoting green as the permanent and eternal color of welcoming and living nature; we imagine Pablo Picasso suddenly standing up and vehemently and gesturally recounting his affection for the pink period; then we see Titian sitting back and proposing the warm orange so beloved in his paintings; we listen attentively to Vincent Van Gogh tell of his deep love for the color yellow, a symbol of life and serenity; we see him push a tube of color toward Gustav Klimt who with a friendly smile rests a hand on the artist’s arm and proposes a touch of gold to give it luster and preciousness; lastly we see Frida Kahlo a magnetic figure who says without hesitation that one cannot forget red, the hymn to joy, life, and intense celebration.

Each of these colors is a key piece in the rich arrangement of this summer wedding on Lake Como.

A lush and vibrant, welcoming and joyful ceremony framing the guests and the bride and groom enhancing their happiness.

A chuppah decorated with the color blocking technique that, like a rainbow of warm hues, enshrines the best wishes for a happy future to the couple.

And what about the reception setting?

A majestic and elegant marquee welcomes guests, surrounding them with colors, precious and shimmering materials, impressive chandeliers and designer chairs.

Tall installations give rise to a play of heights that amazes guests, candles and stained glass candle holders give lightness to the whole.

Our guests are ready to fill the area with their cheerfulness and exuberance, celebrating the perfect wedding in the beautiful Villa Lario Resort Mandello, a jewel set in an evocative private park and directly overlooking the waters of Lake Como.

A dream villa in which no detail is left to chance and it is immediate to experience the magic of a refined Italian night.

Our couple also decided to hold a magnificent pool party here to welcome all their guests, eating gourmet pizza and enjoying fabulous Italian ice cream from a traditional cart.

The celebrations continued the next day aboard the beautiful boat Concordia, which plied the waters of Lake Como with live music, custom cocktails, and lots of fun on board.
