Wedding of a wedding planner getting married on Lake Como

Wedding in Lake Como - Villa Bonomi

Facing Lake Como western cost, Villa Bonomi is an exclusive property. The unique pieces of furniture, just renovated, are the key elements of a perfect and comfortable stay for its guests. A stunning four-acre garden, designed by the most important Italian landscape designer Pietro Porcinai, offers an unforgettable view of Lario’s luxury residences.

The Story

Needless to say, when it is the wedding planner’s turn to marry, expectations are high. Not so much for the event itself (most people would put their hand on the fire, on the organization and the success of the event), but for the style, the set-up, the location… the question all guests ask is, “what’s expected, what will be the bride’s choices?”

Definitely, Georgia’s wedding was unprecedented and totally unique.

We defined the style of Georgia and Riccardo’s wedding  Jupandi Jungle: a new design style that combines elegant, minimalist elements of Japanese style with an exotic Caribbean oasis feel with welcoming, eye-catching colors and shapes.

A perfect mix that consistently represents the different and complementary personalities of the bride and groom.

Maybe the combination is unexpected, but thanks to the balance and the elegance given to the arrangement by Deborah of Flowers and Me, success is assured.

The ceremony set-up has a more sober palette, the colors used are greens and browns, to empathize with the magical atmosphere of Villa Bonomi and to make the bride and groom stand out in their black and white dresses, elegant and timeless.

For the reception, Flowers and Me creates an incredible and vital atmosphere using heliconia rostrata, strelitzia, beehive ginger, kokedama, anthurium, monstera and many other exotic elements with elegant shapes.

The hand-painted and spiral candles do not go unnoticed, how not to love the choice of vases all different but in palettes or the mangoes and papayas resting on silk green or textured palm runners.

Every single inch of the table has an unexpected and incredible detail to be discovered.

On the table to welcome guests handmade name tags in ceramic with a cork base, calligraphed and decorated in gold.

Representing the tables, some table tags with watercolor illustration of the couple’s dogs and iguana, a sweet reminder of the hand-carved openable invitations, with green tassel and gold sealing wax, complemented with handmade green envelopes.

Getting married on Lake Como, in an incredible villa like Villa Bonomi, surrounded by the affection of a mix of cultures from all over the world was perhaps the greatest joy for the newlyweds. But during that night their eyes were shining with love and joy that they had realized a dream and actualized an idea that until that moment was only in their minds and hearts.

Every detail of this wedding makes it unique and unforgettable.

The wedding dresses, custom made and personalized for Georgia by Isabella Caposano and her incredible staff of taylors. The veil decorated with fabric leaves sewn one by one in a way to make them move like leaves in the wind as the bride walked down the aisle.

The suit for Armando, the couple’s little dog, created especially for him and his majestic entrance to the ceremony, decorated with silver buttons.

The arrival of the mariachi at the end of the dinner, to take everyone to the cake cutting and dance together under the bright stars of Lake Como.
