Exotic elegance at villa Pizzo Lake Como

VILLA PIZZO WEDDING

This Villa known as “Villa Pizzo”, was built between in charming villages of Cernobbio and Moltrasio.

It has a very important historical past. On July 9, 1435, Giovanni Muggiasca, a merchant of Como, acquired a vast land that was rich in vineyards and olive groves, not far from town, stretching from the shore of the lake till the peak of the hills, crossing Via Regina, the main road serving the entire Lake Como.

The Story

And suddenly we fell in love.

Suddenly we understood how Jasmine must have felt when she first saw Aladdin.

Yes maybe he was a little disheveled, funny and unusual … but how intense his eyes were, how sinuous his hair was and how elegant his movements were.

Villa Pizzo was the perfect location for this elegant, exotic and unique wedding on Lake Como.

Our fairy tale could begin like this “a long time ago, during a warm and bright September, in an ancient palace decorated with stucco and frescoes … some beautiful girls met, with white drapes as light as feathers, ornate and precious dresses and diamonds, pearls and fancy accessories.”

Villa Pizzo represents magnificence that has not bowed to brazen luxury, but has retained the poetry of a past time, where art and attention to detail met passion, love and warmth. This is how one feels walking through its large, ornate rooms.

The fairy tale can only continue in the Villa’s gardens, which directly overlook the cerulean waters of Lake Como.

A snow-white carpet accompanies the bride in her majestic dress. Along the aisle are compositions of a mix of greenery, powder-pink and white flowers.

Next to the groom, at the end of the aisle, two floral arrangements with greenery and flowers in gradation (antique pink, powder pink and white).

After a boat ride (which sounds a bit like a flying carpet), the bride and groom make their way back to Villa Pizzo, where the candle lights have now begun to do their work, giving that extra magical touch to an already special setting. Where candelabras, candle floral arrangements, table settings and menus have created a unique and defined design.

There were no villains in this fairy tale of ours, only the sweetness of smiles, final cadeaux (handmade and decorated ceramic mugs) and chocolate (small tasting of high quality chocolates) waiting for guests after the cake cutting to end the evening.

Watching our prince and princess dance like in an ancient fairy tale, we remember that it was lovely and touching to be able to contribute to their “happily ever after”.
